#01 - Motion

It’s during one of their training sessions when he just sits back and watches her go from move to move that Yu Narukami realizes he’s in love.

#02 - Cool

As they spent more time together, Chie felt like that she alone was seeing another side to the cool mysterious transfer student.

#03 – Young

Dojima sighed and gave a serious look to his nephew, “Look, you’re young not stupid but you and I should have this talk, I really don’t want to call your mother one day and tell her she’s going to be a grandmother at forty-seven.”

#04 – Last

As Izanami’s curse dragged Chie down, Yu could feel the last of his strength slip away.

#05 – Wrong

This was all wrong, not just the words coming from his mouth but also the mocking tone of his voice, the cruel look on his face, this couldn’t be… it wasn’t the Yu she knew.

#06 – Gentle

Chie was surprised by how gentle his touch was despite his hands being rough and calloused from months of fighting shadows.

#07 – One

She and Yu had been dating for a few months now and yet Chie still couldn’t believe that despite being in the company of Yukiko, Rise-chan, and Naoto-kun, plain old regular her was the one girl for him.

#08 – Thousand

As she watches her classmate making another origami crane Chie laughs, “At the rate you’re going, you’ll be getting a wish in no time.”

#09 – King (Companion to #14)

Chie’s face turned red as she realized that the guy she had a crush on had commanded her to sit on his lap.

#10 – Learn

It was amazing what new things you can learn about a person once you start dating them, like how Chie’s sides were ticklish or how a certain spot on Yu’s neck was very sensitive.

#11 – Blur

“Oh by the way I should probably warn you about my do…” before Chie could finish, a massive blur of brown and white fur tackled Yu to the ground.

#12 – Wait

When he first came to Inaba, Yu admits that he couldn’t wait for the year to end; now on the train home, he thinks Golden Week couldn’t come fast enough.

#13 – Change

He was more than a little surprised by Chie’s new appearance (it was nowhere near as drastic as some of the others but surprising nonetheless) but the minute she spoke, Yu was happy to see that it was still the same old Chie.

#14 – Command (Companion to #09)

Yu’s face turned red as he realized that he just commanded the girl he had a crush on to sit on his lap.

#15 – Hold

Chie blushed when Narukami offered to hold her hand, “So we won’t get separated in this fog.”

#16 – Need

She held him tight and let him cry on her shoulder, after everything that happened tonight, he needed this.

#17 – Vision

Everything before him was blurry, he felt dizzy and confused, suddenly he felt something sting his cheek and when his vision cleared, he saw Chie with her hand raised and a concerned look on her face.

#18 – Attention

When a boy with grey hair stepped into the classroom he caught Chie’s attention, when the same boy talked back to King Moron to his face he caught her interest.

#19 – Soul

After casting spell after spell, Yu was starting to feel weak and Chie was quick to catch him as he collapsed.

#20 – Picture

It didn’t take long before Chie started making silly faces in the Print Club booth and it didn’t take long before Yu started laughing.

#21 – Fool

When he, Yosuke, and Chie agreed to work together to solve the case, Yu felt a small surge of power as a new bond formed.

#22 – Mad

Yu looked back at the headphone-clad boy hunched over in pain and thought: ‘alright important note: do not make Satonaka angry.’

#23 – Child

Both Chie and Yu nearly choked on their meals while the rest of the group just stared when little Nanako asked if her Big Bro and Chie were going to get married.

#24 – Now

Now was the perfect moment, now was the right time to hold her hand, and now was the right time to ask: “Will you be my girlfriend?”

#25 – Shadow

Chie looked at her yellow-eyed copy; she turned back and saw Yosuke giving a small nod and Narukami smiling, “You’re more than that thing.”

#26 – Goodbye

It was tempting to do a big dramatic kiss like in the movies but Yu settled with a small kiss on the lips to say goodbye to Chie.

#27 – Hide

“Wait… you and… and Yu-kun…” As Yukiko stared at her, Chie wanted nothing more than to find a large rock and hide under it forever.

#28 – Fortune

Chie sighed as she and the rest of the team dug through their pockets, looking for some extra money to help their leader pay the fox.

#29 – Safe

He gave a small smile and placed his hand on her shoulder, “Don’t worry I promise you that Yukiko will be okay.”

#30 – Ghost

At Yu’s suggestion that the team should get together to tell ghost stories again, Chie gave him a harsh glare and a very hard punch to his arm.

#31 – Book

She looks at the book in her hands, How to be A Police Officer, she thinks of the impact Yu left on her life and smiles.

#32 – Eye

When Yu came to school looking pale with dark circles under his eyes, Chie realized what a toll Nanako’s kidnapping was taking on him and hoped that today would be the day they finally save her.

#33 – Never

Yu looks at the photo he and his friends took the day before, he smiles as he thinks to himself, ‘I’ll never be alone again.’

#34 – Sing

As he stumbled through the lyrics of the song, Chie couldn’t help but laugh at the revelation that there was one thing that the great Yu Narukami couldn’t do.

#35 – Sudden

It happened too quickly, by the time Yu realized what she was doing, Chie had already shoved him out of the way and took the attack meant for him.

#36 – Stop

It’s a strike from Tomoe that finally ends the fight and Chie can only stand still as it just occurs to her: ‘I… I just beat Yu-kun.’

#37 – Time

Chie treasured the time she had with Yu but it didn’t make crossing another date off the calendar any easier.

#38 – Wash

When she heard Yu muttering something about how a million showers will never make him clean, Chie almost felt a little bad for her and Yukiko pushing the guys into the river… almost.

#39 – Torn

His sword tears through the shadow’s flesh as if it was tissue paper, as the monster fades to nothing, Yu approaches Chie with his hand held out to help her back up from the floor.

#40 – History

Even though no one would know what they did, even though they wouldn’t go down in history as the Heroes of Inaba, they still felt proud over what they accomplished.

#41 – Power

Yu was amazed by Futsunushi’s strength, amazed by the power that came from his bond with Chie.

#42 – Bother

They both agreed to keep their relationship a secret for now, partially to avoid any potential inner-team drama but mostly so they wouldn’t have to deal with Yosuke’s teasing.

#43 – God

Chie stared at the path ahead of them, the path to Izanami; Yu held her hand and gave a look that said “We can do this.”

#44 – Wall

Yu poked the slimy (and yet somehow also sticky) substance that managed to get on the wall as Chie gave a nervous laugh and explanation: “It was supposed to be breakfast…”

#45 – Naked

You had a dream where you caught Chie stepping out of the shower, your relationship with Chie has intensified but you’re not sure if you can look her in the eye today.

#46 – Drive

It takes Chie a while to realize why the sight of Yu getting dragged around everywhere by Ai Ebihara drives her insane.

#47 – Harm

Chie’s kick managed to strike Yu in the stomach however as she looks at him, hunched over and breathing heavily, she could feel Kunino-Sagiri’s control over her weaken.

#48 – Precious

“I want to protect everything precious to me…” Chie blushed “…in-including you.”

#49 – Hunger

Mr. and Mrs. Narukami were more than a little surprised by how much steak their son had bought for tonight’s dinner, they were only inviting his girlfriend over after all.

#50 – Believe

High school romances never last and neither do long-distance relationships… but Yu believed that he and Chie could prove those bits of wisdom wrong.
